  Apple Notes App As a college student, I take many notes on various topics. Not only do I take notes during classes, but I also take notes to help me keep track of things for my job as well. While navigating the different courses and lectures during your academic career, it is important to stay organized and thorough. The Apple Notes app is the perfect tool to help you keep all your information in one place. People may believe that Apple notes is not the most professional organizational tool because it is so simplistic. Bad/Good Website Smackdown

 Citation Generators In early days of college, proper citation is vital for a successful academic career. Different classes require different formats for citations, which can be confusing for freshman students. That is why it is important to understand how to use citation generators online. They are a great tool for students learning how to properly format MLA, APA, or Chicago style papers. For my website SmackDown I chose examples of a good citation generator and a bad citation generator. I determined the usefulness of both websites with three categories; website aesthetic, user friendliness and whether or not the information provided was useful. For the bad example I chose Citation Machine by Chegg. This website was riddled with large ads on their homepage. And it was also very hard to navigate and did not provide as much information as its better counterpart. The better version of the citation generator was Scribbr. Chapter 7

  Action Research       Chapter 7 of the connected educator goes over how a person can sustain the momentum of building their career. One aspect of this chapter that captured my attention was the idea of action research. According to the book action research, “ is a collaborative activity among committed colleagues looking for answers to every day/real problems related to classroom instruction, systematic change, or a more global issue. Action research is learning by doing“ (Hall 180). Basically, research is like being told how to ride a bike, while action research is being shown to experience how to ride a bike. As a political science major I understand the importance of having first-hand experience with the research I am conducting.
